Suzy has encountered over the years recurring dilemmas and key problems, this course is structured to identify some of those issues as well as allowing people to discuss problems relevant to their own homes. I love this Singapore based company d.lab, created by the Design Incubation Centre, part of the Department of Architecture at the school of Design and Environment in the National University of Singapore.  It aims to examine the relationship between man, object and the environment.  They are exquisite in execution, fantastically perfect ergonomic shapes.

Well the picture did it for me.  It reminded me of a speeding motorist in Notting Hill who I recently saw zipping through the snow with a Japanese cedar hot tub on the roof.  Not so silly I thought.  Get yours at www.bacsac.fr

I promise you they’re more exciting than they sound.  In fact, this is one of the coolest products I have come across in a long time.  Paper napkins in 17 great colours dispensed on a perforated roll. ‘My Drap’ as the company tells you is ‘simple and ingenious’.  Machine washable or not so impossibly expensive that you can chuck them out.  I fell upon them and came home with arm loads. www.virages.fr

We are in awe of this incredible pendant by Italian designer Romeo Rega, which we spotted in the window at one of our neighbours’, Pruskin Gallery at 96 Portland Road, W11.

We are working on the Shropshire/Welsh border for very old friends of mine who have moved into his family home.  A hugely ambitious scheme to turn the house into a wedding venue is set to pay off with over 20 weddings booked for the next 12 months.  The first wedding is May 1 and the house is a frantic scramble to get to the finishing line.  We are re decorating the entire house, installing new bathrooms throughout as well as building an extension, collaborating with the architects, contractors and suppliers.

I have taken the big leap and bought this house in Oxfordshire with my friend and brilliant developer James Perkins.  It’s going to be comfortable, modern and adorable. We are currently experiencing the usual fun and games, delayed planning permission and heavy snow falls but we’ll be back on track soon.

I love this concept store in Paris, it’s immaculately executed. With cafe, florist, perfumery, bookstore, home and fashion it’s a half day excursion.  Jasper Morrison Vitra chairs sit with reclaimed tables, vintage three legged stools, organic cloths and industrial lighting.  Created by the former owners of French children’s label Bonpoint, some top brands names Isabel Marant, Marni, Paul & Joe, YSL and many more are fore going their profit margin to charities in Madagascar.  The charity book section, is inspired by New York cafes where you can hang out with a cup of tea and read.  All the books are donated and are second hand.  This shop is luxury and gives back.
